The individual (or couple) must have (or be preparing to receive) the Sacraments of Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation, and be a registered and active member parishioner.
Please allow for a minimum of six months to one year to properly plan and prepare for this once on a lifetime event. Meet with a priest or a deacon of the Parish for the initial meeting and inquiry.
Couples must attend the Pre-Cana marriage preparation program, and the God's Plan for Marriage Session, both required by the Dioces of Metuchen. We also suggest to take the FOCCUS inventory.
Couples must obtain a Marriage license in the City Hall where they live, at least three weeks in advance of the date of the wedding. If the couple is already married by civil law, they must obtain a re-marriage license.
Please coordinate with the office regarding the rehearsal or music for the ceremony. Also, please note that we do not generally celebrate these festive occasions during Lent and Advent.
The fee for use of the Church is $250.00.
Absolutely no rice, flower petals, or confetti thrown in the Church, or outside (because it will be tracked back in). No tape is allowed on the pews or the floor for decorations. We suggest that you use a rubber band or similar.
